im over in asia just now for a holiday with my sister but shes struggling really badly with a rash she has got she is calling prickley heat.

She reckons she gets it in the sun whenever she goes on holiday but its really bad just now.

Anyone know if this is a common thing, or if theres a cure? Shes really struggling.

I get it on my feet sometimes. Any sort of cold cream soothes it and some people claim antihistamine can stop it appearing... I've not tried that though.

I get it on my chest and neck and it's horrible. I use anti-histamine cream and tablets if it's reallybad, but am never convinced that either gets rid of it quickly :(

Many years ago, I read that the colourants used in some soft drinks could aggravate it. I was a Fanta orange drinker at the time and have found, since giving it up and drinking water instead, that I get it less frequently.

Could it be Lupus as my wife had a skin rash as her 1st sign? Has your sister used sun block like invisible zinc good to use any way as it's a physical block?

When I use to live out there (in the Phillipines for 4 years back in the 90's), Calamine lotion was an excellent treatment for it.

BTW, it is a common thing.

shes smothered herself in cammomile and thats taken the pain staight away, thanks.

also bought some antihistamine tablets and gel, so hopefully she will be OK.

Thanks all for the other suggestions, might try the althelete foots stuff just to see if that works.

I'd be surprised if Athlete's foot stuff works... Athlete's foot is a fungal infection. That cream sorts out ringworm... which isn't a worm at all, it's a circular red rash. I've used it for that.
