inventory software

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a software to do the IT infraestructure inventory, I have tried Spiceworks but I don't like it very much.... I don't like the idea of having to scan the devices, and I don't see the possibility of creating reports with all the stuff we have....

What are you using?

WHat do you mean "scan the devices"? How exactly do you expect it to know what a device is/has if it isn't scanned? Anyway OCS Inventory NG | Main is pretty much the most mature opensource offering. The only thing it doesn't do well is monitor serial numbers, mainly if its dual display

I use GLPI and import all computers out of FOG and Printers our of Papercut.

 

This then just means the only things manually put in are Projectors and Monitors

This should do the trick, works really well.
