entyp66 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Hi we are just in the process of rolling out Office 2010. i have created an installation script and customised the installation using the config file and the customisation wizard. The script works fine and installs Office 2010 just as we want it. However, we also want to install Ribbon Hero. I have logged on to a network PC with local admin rights and installed the Ribbon Hero msi. Ribbon Hero now shows up when I start an Office 2010 app as you would expect. However, when I log off and log back on as another user, Ribbon Hero is no longer available in any Office App. We need Ribbon Hero to be available to all users. Any clues? Thanks
SYNACK Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Are you using the all users version from here http://officelabs.vo.msecnd.net/eb933de5-a25d-48f5-8cb2-a43e47cf761e/2.1.615.0/RHSetup-XP.msi The standard download is a single user one.
timlineuk Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Slight hijack - but hopefully drawing on already obtained knowledge. I've recently got Ribbon Hero installed for all users, the problem i've got is that we use mandatory user profiles which get deleted on logoff. This means that RH also resets each time... the ideal would be to have some sort of ADM that i could redirect the RH user data so that it saves into their personal user area. Thanks 1
gshaw Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 That's part of the reason I've not put it on our image this year, also the other issue we have is using online testing software that uses the app in real time as students complete tasks... can't imagine it'll be too happy having Ribbon Hero popping up mid-test
timlineuk Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Indeed that wouldn't be good - i would however like to get it installed across the site as it's a really useful bit of software especially as we're deploying office 2010 this summer
