mustek 2400 pro a3 scanner

We have just bought a mustek 2400 pro a3 scanner to convert cource work.

We install the software which includes drivers. then when we plug in the scanner the found hardware wizard pops up and sais wants drivers.

we tried on another pc and win 7 pc as well as xp

the support is rubbish and takes weeks for them to get back to an email. there suggestion was to download latest drivers from website. Grrr

has any one else used mustek before or even beter have this scanner and give me some pointers on how to get to work.
