backup exec 12.5 Vss initialisation failure

Hi

 

I am using Backup Exec 12.5 as the software to backup our Windows Backup server to a Tape library using LT04 tapes.

 

The backup job does complete but I seem to be getting an issue to do with VSS and just wanted to know if anyone had any issues with our to resolve it.

 

The error we get is:

 

- AOFO: Initialization failure on: "E:". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).

V-79-10000-11217 - VSS Snapshot error. The Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot failed. Make sure that all provider services and tasks are running. Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

 

Has anyone seen this issue and know how about to address it. I have looked on the symantec KB but couldn't find too much on this issue.
