Whats your unwanted ".exe"'s?

Hey,

 

What programs do you not want to have your clients run? In "Dont run specified Windows applications"...

Heres what I've got so far;

 

powershell.exe
PowerShell.exe
uTorrent.exe
vuze.exe
LimeWire.exe
vuze.exe
FrostWire.exe
BitComet.exe
Solitare.exe

 

Any suggestions from your own experiences?

Not an exe but not having this run would be heaven as it means there wouldn't be issues with the staff breaking things

If you'd prefer them only to use IE then you could block firefox.exe e.g

If GPO is set properly then even if the load Chrome or FireFox, the proxy etc will automatically inject when loaded.

Hmm I plan to let these people use Chrome or IE there choice, filtering is done at OpenDNS level.

But what I mean is, Chrome and FireFox can be loaded from usb or a personal area, if the gpo is done properly, then it won't matter what they use as the proxy will kick in anyways. My network had admx files for Chrome, IE, FireFox Opera and Netscape. Just because they're not used, doesn't mean we can't be prepared ;-)

Ah all removeable devices are blocked as the network runs on thin clients anyway so no CD drive ... I guess they could download using IE but they have no admin rights would have to be portable versions.

Speaking of Chromes ADMX files I could never get them to work Should I apply them to the computers or users?
