Elky Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 a very good deal on some Xerox XA7 glass TFT monitors. They are re-boxed, fully checked and look as good as new. The warranty is with Pro View. It's not on site you have to send it to them for repair or swap out. They have at least 12/14months left some have 24/28months. Heres the details... XA7-15I 15" - 15 available, £89.00 each XA7-17I 17" - 79 available, £99.00 each XA7-172I 17" - 4 available, £99.00 each I'm just seeing what interest there will be before making a decision on buying them. Have a look at the Xerox website for details on the monitor but they really are a lovely screen and this is a very, very good offer. Regards
Elky Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 A few images. They have been re-boxed so aren't in the original boxes but are packaged well.
alan-d Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I think most of us are waiting for new budget figures before we can order anything.
gwendes Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 You can get 19" 4:3 or 16:10 for that... http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?VIE-VA1912 http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-LCD19R High quality, beautiful panels are quickly destroyed by horrible kids...
PeterW Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Those arent hard glass gwendes, hard glass are normally a bit more expensive.
Elky Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 as Pete and Domino said, the Novatech monitors are not glass fronted. These Xerox screens gor for around £130 - £150 usually so its definitely a good offer.
mrforgetful Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 We've never had a problem with kids destroying monitors. Been using TFTs for around 4-5 years now, have around 400 and we've only ever had 1 broken. So if we've saved around £30 on each of those 400 monitors, but had to pay for a replacement of that broken one at around £160 back then, means we've still saved about £11900.
Ric_ Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I recently had a child PUNCH a Neovo glass monitor... the child came off worst! If that had been a regular TFT it would have been dead... luckily I wasn't around when it happened so the kid didn't die either!
Lee_K_81 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I recently had a child PUNCH a Neovo glass monitor... the child came off worst! If that had been a regular TFT it would have been dead... luckily I wasn't around when it happened so the kid didn't die either! We once had a kid HEADBUTT a laptop. The laptop screen bled out. laptop = B.E.R. Now i insist that all TFT's are hard glass. If there was only going to be one broken i might consider saving the money. Anyway i cringe everytime i see a kid with their messy greasy fingers touching our glass ones, let alone if it was a non-glass one.
Domino Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I'm against them having tfts at all, but the head insists. All ours are hard glass and i've never had a problem, but i'm just waiting for that 'crash' sound
