Having just looked at the substantial pile of books sitting here that are now out of date I am considering a safarionline subscription an maybe mobile device to read said books on.

Question is who else uses it, what do you think and what sort of mobile support do you get?

Already looking at powershell, exchange and

VoIP books which is starting to become close to the subscription costs.

I had a subscription when it first started ... and found it well worth it, but then I got into the books by Mark Minasi too.

If I had to pick a resource then that would be one I would really go for.

Agreed with the Minasi books, there some of the ones I am looking to update, now available on safar it seems. Yet another plus point.

So the real question is down to ebook readers, anyone use a kindle etc with safari and care to comment?

Ooohh ... I didn't realise they were on there too. Off to have a look at what they appear like on my iPhone (present eReader ... still find Kindle too one dimensional)

I have a subscription... it's great! When I signed up, I needed a couple of new books which would have cost a good £60 each so for $20 a month it seemed like good value.

@Ric_ am I right in thinking you use a kindle as well?

Just signed up for Safari now looking at a device. I fear ipod touch would be just a tad small for lots of reading, and two laptops is pushing it!

Many thanks for the info.

Hi Rob

I have a sub and use the mobile website on my Iphone and works really well and quite easy to use. One of my main sources for books got loads lined up ready to read on the site. Sign up for trial and decide for yourself :)...

Ric's Kindle is very nice he showed me my Exchange Book I have in paper form on his Kindle at BETT and I was very impressed with the quality :)

My other half has a subscription that I occasionally borrow. The PDFs on the kindle are OK, but viewing in the browser isn't great. On the iPhone/iPad its fine. The new iPad app (allows you to take a book offline) is quite nice, but is very slow at rendering pages and this is on an iPad 2!

Thinking of getting a sub myself as I'm using it more and more :)
