Hills Components UK do cheap headphones.

 

But anything you get for £3 will be rubbish.

The problem with headphones is that they are nor remotely suited to use in schools. You are better off buying the cheapest ones you can get hold of and accepting that they will break quickly... the more expensive ones do too. You could take the approach of my son's secondary school where the students have to provide their own and the finance has a stack of cheapy in-ear ones that they sell for £1.

I recently bought a set of 30 at £1.50 each. They're not great, but at the rate our kids chew through them they're ideal as they are pretty much disposable.
