We have a Websense Appliance that enforces Safesearch in Google, Bing, Ask & Lycos. Recently We have found that students typing into Google "My sisters hot friend" are getting some interesting results. Also in Bing if they type "Private School Jewel" the same happens. Safesearch is still enforced but the results are anything but safe!!! Our Reseller support staff tell us that they cant do anything about it as the Websense software is still enforcing safesearch but it is Google and Bing that are letting the inappropriate images through.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do you prevent this from happening at your schools?

It is possible to do "deep URL filtering" on google images, where the original URL is encoded in the thumbnail URL, and you can block based on that. This is "normal" in Smoothie... websense you might need some regex mastery.

Of course this also requires that you block access to the sites these images are coming from, which can mean blocking outright a number of popular (but flesh filled) image hosts.
