elsiegee40 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Is it that time already? 12:35pm. Is that my desk? Oh, and there's my list for this morning... nothing crossed off. All the Secretary said was that she couldn't get into Outlook... and boy oh boy she couldn't get into Outlook. I have no idea what caused the problem, but after trying various things it ended with a complete re-install of Microsoft Office on her PC, deleting and rebuilding her profile and restoring her Outlook .pst back to yesterday lunchtime's Volume Shadow Copy. It now works. On the plus side, as I sat watching random bars on the screen telling me that task x was y% done or had z minutes remaining a teacher appeared with a very large slab of chocolate cake saying that she thought I looked like I needed it Then the yellow toner that I ordered arrived in the nick of time as it actually ran out about an hour ago... maybe things are improving. I think I'll abandon the list until Monday. Time to clear the desk and go home!
webman Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Outlook is horrible, glad you managed to sort it eventually with the aid of cake. The list can definitely wait until Monday, have a good weekend
HaleStorm Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 cake is the solid fuel equivelant of coffee isn't it? im sure my body runs on cake and coffee...and occasionally sweets
elsiegee40 Posted June 10, 2011 Author Posted June 10, 2011 Cake brought by a sympathetic teacher is as rare as hen's teeth and definitely helps on a bad morning!
