Rawns Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Not too sure where to post this so hopefully here will do. I'm running Microsoft Virtual PC on my computer with an XP virtual machine and have linked my physical C: drive to my virtual machine using the "Shared folder" settings. On the VM, I can copy files to my physical C: drive (and vice versa) with no problems, but if I'm in Word, Excel etc on the VM and try to save a document directly to my physical C: drive, the document fails to save because of "a network or file permission error". The file does get created on my physical C: drive but is 0k in size. Any ideas why this is happening and if it can be corrected to allow direct saving to my physical drive? Edit: Only appears to be Office documents. Saving a text file from the VM direct to the physical dive works fine.
