imiddleton25 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Looking at giving some staff external hard disks to move lage amounts of data between home and school. Has anyone found i good way of doing this . Want to be able to sync the school drive h: to the external hard disk then when they come back to replace any updated files on school drive h: dont want it sync their home pc stuff.
andyturpie Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Personally, for data protection I would avoid that route. Teachers may have all the best intentions, but rarely understand the implications of personal data going out into the wild. I would go for a secure VPN system with a script to map drives. We are starting to roll this out here, also look to encrypt any laptop they take out of school.
