sippo Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I have two random issues...(not sure where I can put them) IE 7 occassionally goes into slow motion when minimizing/maximising the window. Nothing else is open and happens on any site, but doesn't happen all the time. And, when a user logs in the time is ok. The clock will then suddenly change. Not when they first log in, but half way through the day...when they log off and back in the clock reverts back to the normal time. Network connectivity is fine. All XP SP2 PC's. I reckon that room is haunted...

I reckon that room is haunted... How much is the clock changing by? I know there used to be some issues with daylight saving time bugging out. Or is it majorly different times? (Any server-based time setup?) In terms of IE7 you got any running that links into windows? (Monitor monitoring software/dual screen programs etc?) Steve
sippo Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 The clock changes by an hour and 20 mins or so...it gets the time off the server, no other PC's have this issue. Nothing in IE7 that links, no.

They should be trying to sync with the server (aka 0ms pings on each, not sure how many you got). Best run it on the affect machine ofc, incase it's trying to sync somewhere odd Steve

Steve21 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 HKEY Current User on the local PC. That should work fine then. Did it actually change the registry and just not apply? or has it done nothing? (Do you have any local machine GPOs that would change it back?) Steve
sippo Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 I changed the custom one to 3, which worked. After changing the others to 0 that didn't work. I'll try a different PC. There's no other local GPO's on the PC which is why it has got me stumped!!
