How do you set a background to all users so that when they send an email externally the background is displayed on the email along with the school name and logo as the signature. Internal emails are required not to show this.

if you have exchange take a look at code2. It is free as long as you dont mind a line that says provided by code 2 on the bottom.

see example below

We use Exchange 2010. Within Outlook 2010 I know you can you set a background and signature but how do you set this so that all staff have a background and signature as default without having to set it per user? Also the background and signature is only required for emails sent out of school, is this something that can be set?

Code 2 does it on the server, you would design the template, pull the name and job title etc in from ad fields then you choose weather it applies to all emails or external ones only etc.

We have it running on 2010 and is really good.

You might be able to use a transport rule. You can do a transport rule for the signature piece but not sure about the background.
