TechSupp Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 (edited) Installed v10 of the Smartnotebook and now found I have Smart Maths tools asking to be registered. Dont recall seeing an option to install this and we dont need it. If I wait till the 30 days lapse will it stop nagging or can I uninstall it (or stop it nagging) before then. Cant see a separate uninstall? Think I just found the answer http://www.edugeek.net/forums/educational-software/48251-smartboard.html#post442922 Looks like it will dissapear by itself Edited May 24, 2011 by TechSupp
localzuk Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 If you're installing in a school, you should use the 'Administrators Downloads' version of the installer, using the Smart Install Manager to generate a transform file which specifies what gets installed and where. TechSupp Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Thanks, in primary, so not many to install and msi more time than needed. Anyway found reg setting to disable it and welcome screen etc. Now it starts up relatively quick. Just need to run reg file on logon, suggestions? Its a 2008 server.and have been told can do it via gpo but dont know how yet or where settings are. Thats the next job, unless someone can point me in right direction.
timlineuk Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Hi TechSupp, just in the process of doing this myself. What registry keys did you change? Thanks
Steve21 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Hi TechSupp, just in the process of doing this myself. What registry keys did you change? Thanks When you're installing it there's option to disable it from the start using parameters ENABLE_MATH_TRIAL 0 As to what it changes in registry, might be worth taking a peak then deploying the change Steve
