Documenting Servers

Hi,

 

I am currently involved in a project that involves building a brand new domain.

 

I am planning on documenting all these new servers.

 

Does anybody have a template i could "borrow" on how you document your servers please?

I've been using THIS to document ours. Works very well but can give you too much info.

What i am after is an empty template that others use. So i dont miss anything if i make one

I have one we did in Excel somewhere I'll see if I can dig it out - we have one for all the IP's too - I have one for all of the old switches we had which I suppose could be of use to you for a general idea maybe. Edited May 25, 2011 by cpjitservices
