ron Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I have 2 computers showing the 'UNC paths are not supported' error message when trying to run a script to map local printers. Followed the instructions from Microsoft support Cmd.exe does not support UNC names as the current directory However now when I run the bat file, cmd only shows the message '1 file copied' but the printers still aren't mapped. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.
ron Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 I use the con2prt.exe and the bat file goes like this: IF %computername%==IT-01 GOTO IT :IT con2prt /c \\printers\IT_COLOUR con2prt /c \\printers\IT_BLACK GOTO end It works fine for over 300 computers, only 2 that won't map the printers
