Hacksawbob Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Got a projector with this issue, about 1/4 down from the top a bright 'bar' of lighter area. Also a dimmer lower bar of darker violet if you look carefully. I tried rotating the focus and it doesn't move Also definitely not on the the board! So bulb or LCD are the most likely candidates. but rather than shell out on a new bulb to diagnose and then find its a non replaceable part is there anything further I can do to test? Anyone else come across this? Normally I find them to go gradually darker with yellowing edges I have not come across something so regular before.
