I don't think anyone ever claimed this was a UK only site. In fact I'd welcome some American members.

I said Mainly UK, and he was offering a job that required a CCNP or CCVP in the US. I very much doubt someone who holds those qualifications will be working as an ITTech on <£25k

ccnp is not that hard to do. but as i have found in the past it does not always matter what quals you have. its how well you know what you are doing for real. For example i know someone who has quals comming out of his ears. but when it comes down to it he could not manage or build a network but he could tell you what you need and how its done on paper but put a fault in the and he is stuffed

I think it'd be nice to have US members because then the site would be active 24 hours a day as opposed to 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon - Fri. It's actually quite ironic that this forum is like this because most forums usually die down during the times most of their members are at work

No I think it would be a good thing™ to have some of our US counterparts contributing to these forums. I get the impression from listening from Casting From the Server Room there's some noteable differences how things work over there compared to how do things.

It is one of things once got version two of the site sorted I am going to look at. Going to look at the International members (we know you are there) and how we can serve them better.

 

Yes Goeff you are right lot of support is done by state education board aka our LEA. Also there is big difference between under funded schools and highly funded schools. Main one being as I understand it being under funded schools don't encourge innovation with in the school and it's teaching where better funded schools are more likely to.
