[ms office - 2003] Automatically Insert Password; Outlook

Hey guys,

 

I am currently looking for a third party program to save the username and password for Outlook 2003 on a Exchange server. I would also like this program to automatically log in to Outlook when opened. I have tried KeePass but had no success.

 

Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

 

EDIT: Specifically for an XP machine.

So are you trying to get this such that:

 

A) When a user on XP machine, opens outlook it auto logs in?

B) When a user on XP machine, runs programs (This thirdparty thingy) it logs into outlook?

C) The exchange server remotely opens (using third party thingy) outlook and logs in on an XP machine?

 

If you mean you just want a user to be able to open outlook and it'll login without typing passwords etc, Can't you just link it to the exchange mailbox profile?

 

Just trying to understand exactly what you want here

Hi

 

If you're using Outlook on a LAN with Exchange, then Outlook will automatically login to the mailbox if a mail-enabled user opens Outlook. Outlook should use IWA.

 

If this is your setup and Outlook is prompting for credentials then this is a separate issue.

 

Would help if you can describe the env in more detail and answer Steve's questions.

if its prompting for username/password go into control panel/user accounts and saved credentials - it normally saves them in there and if there is a password change it then occurs.

The situation I'm looking for is A.

I have also tried "control keymgr.dll" but my only options are "Cancel"

 

We are having this issue on two separate clients computers with almost the exact same setup (one is on a LAN exchange server and the other is hosted online)

When the user opens Outlook, it prompts for the username and password, the username is already filled.

We have tried all sorts of fixes but none have helped.
