New Xbox 360 Slim Problem

Hi All,

 

I've been given a new 360 slim to try and troubleshoot as it only gives sound output on SD (tested on 2 TVs) , but works fine over HDMI (only on one tv but haven't tried the other).

 

Is it a faulty console or a faulty av lead?

 

I also have no spare leads as I'm a PS3 person myself.

There was some issue before about disabling "Display Discovery" fixes it. But are you trying to use external speakers, or TV ones? If external remember to set HDMI for display only.

turns out it didn't like something about the TV it was originally set up on. I reset the output settings on another TV and it seems to work fine on SD now (until I can get another HDMI cable).
