(even though the grief I get from my book loving, pureist missus; who things if a book doesnt smell of mouldy paper, and break your wrist when trying to read it in bed, then it's not a book)

Also noticed Carphone Warehouse are selling them, but again at the same price - looks like pricing has been dictated across the board for these. Just waiting on the missus giving me the go ahead. If she says yes I'll see if my brother can pick me one up as I'm busy picking the fixed car that she smashed tonight Thanks Kim!

You won't regret getting one! We've now got four 3G kindles in our family and everyone loves them . They're great for going abroad as well because the 3G just works and is great for checking email while on the move

It can natively view PDFs, but it's not great. I prefer to convert them using Calibre (think of it a bit like a book verison of iTunes!) and then move them across to my Kindle.

The retail giant has started taking orders in the US for the device, which costs $114 (£69) - $25 (£15) less than the current entry level model.

Hightower Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 Got my kindle, and using Calibre to arrange my books. Over the moon with it, but I have about 3 hours of ironing to do tonight, and football tomorrow night so not sure when I'll get my first chance to use it!

Let's say I have 100 books and I don't want them to all appear in one place as it looks cluttered. Do people just create collections and put their books in there? If so, do you manage this on the kindle itself or can you do it in Calibre/Amazon?
