adamf Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 We seem to have a problem with Dreamweaver and viewing the websites in IE. Normally you press F12 to open the website in your default browser, which in our case is IE. Now when the pupils press F12 it opens IE, but loads their homepage (which is google.co.uk) instead of the site they are working on in Dreamweaver. There is nothing in the html code that should be causing this. Does anybody have any idea why this might be happening?
beeswax Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I assume you've gone to File>Preview in Browser>Edit Browser List and selected the correct version of IE? I've just checked mine and its still set to IE7, which doesn't exist on my machine any more.
adamf Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 We only have one browser installed on the machines.
Steve21 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I'd assume your test server isn't running. Unless DW changed recently, it basically creates a mini webserver for previewing, if that's not running I guess it wouldn't access it. Steve
