AV Mounting Question

I was just wondering how other people are mounting their digital signage in their school. What sort of mounts are people using, and where did they get them from?

We're going for a 32" LG monitor which takes a 200 x 200 VESA mount and an Acer Revo nettop that's being put up into the false ceiling.

 

Any advice would be mucho appreciated.

They just use any sort of standard mount as long as you have data and a power point in the location, but personally i would strongly advise against placing mini PCs in the ceiling void.

 

Funding as a consideration obviously, but do it properly, go for an A&K Pads, Onelan or Samsung MagicInfo Solution

 

I am just pricing a Samsung solution at the moment for a client and it is about £1500 a screen, then £400 install for each backed off with a support contract. Training/Extended Warranties are additional. Software is pretty easy to use and you can control/publish to each in bulk or individually, from experience it is pretty flexible and not complex so can be used by school staff.

I would mount the nettop to the wall behind the monitor, if they are like the N260G's that we have you can screw the vesa mount they come with to a wall using plugs and screws and then just clip the nettop into it.

 

For mounting the screens themselves use whatever is suitable for the location, i.e a nice flat strong wall use a normal lcd tv wall mount.

 

For a ceiling mounting you will need the top part a suitable length of pole and the tv bracket.

 

Have a look at the b-tech range they have all sorts.
