mdrabble Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I have a strange problem which I am well and truly puzzled. I have 2 macbooks, both with the same configurations and both connected to a windows share via smb://server/share and then connected by providing valid user credentials. For some reason, one of the macs no longer wants to talk to any of my windows servers. It will talk to a linux box using the smb: command..... I have double checked the settings on the working macbook and they are the same. Any one any ideas or suggestions as to what else I can try....
krolen Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 try the smb://ipaddress also make sure there is no firewalls. (in security section of system prefs) failing that try them on the same switch and compare network settings.
