RM Build disk, network capable boot disk

I'm having some machine building issues.

 

To further my troubleshooting i'd like to try accessing the server's build area in the same manner an RM build disk might.

 

I've tried figuring out how the disk works to try and halt the process and give me a command prompt but i don't know enough to do that.

 

Alternatively i need a boot disk that i can use the map a drive on the server and have a browse around

 

can someone point me in the right direction?

WinPE is your freind here - you can get it as part of the Windows Automated Installation Toolkit.

thanks, i grabbed one of our ghost cds and used that.

 

ultimately it's not solved anything, i just know that the server build area can be accessed from that environment on a machine.

Maybe we can help with build issues what are the problems and is this cC3 or CC4?

could you not build it through the Management console ? If you go to Workstations and then into your site you get the option for Management console to start re-building the machine
