quietriot1983 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Anyone use this product from Exa-Networks? Having a bit of trouble seeing how I can (eventually - it's not urgent yet!) have different filtering rules for Staff and Kids when I only have one IP address.
pagelad Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I looked into this and came to the conclusion i would need a seperate filtering solution on top if i wanted to do it. In a talk with EXA they said it couldnt be done but it was very easy for staff to unblock sites as required (in reality that you just wouldnt allow that to happen though)
quietriot1983 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Hmm. I'm thinking of going down the route of having a proxy set up by Exa for the kids' machines/filtering, and doing the staff filtering as normal. Not sure how feasible that is just yet though.
