We currently make good use of our radio room in school. It is used all the time and the students stream live over the school network and once or twice a year we put this stream on the internet for parents to listen in.

In school we have a webcam and the sound source from the desk going into a PC that uses windows media encoder and sends it to the server where people connect and can see the DJs at work as well as listen to the show.

We would like to do a few more things with the video aspect to enhance things a little and in turn maybe do more video interviews etc. The things we would like to do are: have multiple cameras, maybe with a split screen or mosaic type or affair. I have seen VLC can do this but couldn't find a straight answer about feeding this to Windows media services.

We would also like a overlay over the video so we can have scrolling text on the bottom and maybe a badge in one of the top corners etc.

We are not looking for professional quality or anything but would like to get these features in, if we could.

Can anyone tell me what kind of additional hardware and software we would need for this and a rough cost etc.

Thanks in advance

Thanks, those have the features I want, but I don't want to be broadcasting onto the net with the video etc. It will just be for use in school so I need an application that will do all those things but will allow me to send the video to our internal streaming server.
