I'm new to the whole deploy software through AD and Group Policy thing but so far so good : )

 

Clearly this relies on *.msi files but I was wondering if it's possible to roll out links to websites and network resources using AD?

Shortcuts you mean? You can do that in group policy through a logon script, custom MSI packages or if you have GPP set up, shortcut deployment. On the other hand, if you just want to populate the favourites menu, that's also a job for group policy.

So does that mean the shortcuts should be deployed according to user rather than computer?
