Looking for old RM software

I'm looking for basically any software to do with the RM Nimbus PC-186, RM Net LM (1.x/2.0), RM Connect 2.x and RM ClassMate 2.x/3.x/4.x.

 

I've tried contacting RM but not even they had anything

 

So I guess it's time to start asking at various forums.

thats all ancient stuff now and chances are (like we did) people who had this software probably had it on backup tapes which will have been wiped by now and destroyed!, also you may still need to have a contract with RM to run any software like this like CC3 you have to be licensed. That old software also runs on Windows 95/98/98SE - which brings me to another point those os's where of RM's own custom back in the day so you'd probs have to get hold of one of there images, the servers OS for RM2.x was NT which you'll also need to be running for this software to work.

well, i don't think you'd need a contract to run something unsupported

 

and yes, I have *several* copies of NT 4.0 server, and a copy of MS OS/2 1.30.1 etc.

 

and yes I know RM used a custom win 3.0/3.1 on Net LM, but from what I know, wasn't the RM win 95/98/98se just the standard win95/98/98se with a bunch of bits added in (like msbatch.inf, etc) ?

 

thats all ancient stuff now

which is partially why i'm looking for it ?!

at least i have RM ClassMate 1.00, hehe.

OK, it must be like CC3 then, standard win image with RM software wacked over the top, well I hope you find it good luck in your search!!

Did you manage to find any old software for Windows 3.x? Currently refurbishing a RM Nimbus, probably one of the last series.

 

I've got the original rm window box 8 software, rm classmate etc along with system images.

 

Be good to do a trade for an earlier version
