Microsoft License Renewal

Does anyone mind letting on to how much they are paying for renewal of teh MS license under the new full time staff process, if you can state cost and how many staff you have so I can get an idea.

Best price so far: £33.66/FTE on an FTE count of 75. I have seen a few get it slightly cheaper (around £32.80) so I am continuing to gather quotes.

Best price I found was by raising an ITQ on buyingsolutions.gov.uk and then haggling with the top few best quoting companies

 

Edit: Sorry, I can't give prices, I feel that's unfair to the suppliers who quote, although I'm sure the ones who lost would love to know....

I see no problem at all giving prices (although not necessarily providing company with it) - it allows everyone else to know whether they are getting a good deal and certainly suppliers will know what they're up against.

As I have said on another thread, I think £32-£35 per FTE is pretty much the pricing range for the standard Desktop pack (not enterprise).

Depends what you're using it for, if it's for teaching, then you can get it free under MSDN Academic Alliance for use in school, or through Dreamspark for students/staff to use at home free of charge. If you are using it to develop non-educational stuff such as in house development then you need to buy it, but you only need to buy it for the limited number of users who do this.
