ranj Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hi I am in the market for a mini hifi system to go into my bedroom. I have a Netgear ReadyNAS box, this is kept in the loft. I have a PS3 system as well but this in my room, I can access content from NAS on the PS3 with no issue wirelessly which is great. The sound out of my 20" LCD is crap to say the least so was thinking of purchasing a Hifi system which isn't very big but will allow me to connect my PS3 through this so I can receive better sound quality whilst watching Blurays, playing games and listening to music. I am also interested in looking at a system which can integrate spotify or Napster system so I can listen to music via the internet. I understand the Sonos systems can do this. Does anyone have one? Do they recommend it? Seems to be lots of people raving about these... I personally dont like the look of them but could live with that if it can do the things above. The size seems to be ok for me as well, I could live with that. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks
CHR1S Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Something like this Logitech Squeezebox Radio £90.88 @ Dixons - HotUKDeals Ranj?
SpuffMonkey Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I bought one of these to listen to my music round the house index
ranj Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Been looking around even further and i'm beginning to think maybe the Sonos systems are the right one. Has anyone got one of these... Sonos Bundle BU250 Including Zoneplayer 90 and 120: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics The sonos Bundle BU250. Do these devices have built in speakers? Do they have inputs if I want to connect my Mp3 player or PS3?
CHR1S Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 1. buy a second hand O2 joggler (£50 at most) 2. Install squeeze player 3. Connect to speakers 4. Profit ;-)
SimpleSi Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 The Sonos setup is brilliant but I'd suggest only affordable by the well off -friend of mine has them around his house coupled up with Napster controlled via Iphone App. You just use the app to direct any song to any Sonos box (or same song to all boxes), He's got about 5 around the hosue and one in the garden for the BBQs Gawd knows how much its cost him though! Si
