JamesG Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I see these ALL the time, mostly they are a scam to make you download the software and pay money to them. Any Techy should be able to spot it instantly and know whats going on. Could anyone upload a screenshoot of what it looks like on your desktop once it all comes up? it might be a good idea to use it as a example to show teachers when it happens
jonnykewell1 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 we have seen this lots of times, we have had reports its come from some adverts on hotmail. Easiest way to remove was to go into safe mode and run malwarebytes with the latest definitions.

LukeC Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Had a slightly different one this week it had the suual pop ups in the notification area but upon on reboot the trackpad and keyboard didnt work, so UBCD came very in handy here and ran spybot but also preform a backup of the files at the same time i think it was called "antispyware and antivirus"
