I fairly recently rebuilt a machine which was having problems and installed what I thought was all the latest drivers. However, I am trying to run google sketchup and it keeps crashing on startup. One of the solutions is to see if there is an updated graphics driver.

However me being a bright spark, didn't take note of the model and cant find an update for it. Is there some software I can run on the machine which will give me the details of the hardware of the computer? I though someone had posted something like this but cant find the thread. I know of spiceworks etc, but this only needs to be done for 1 machine so want a standalone version of something if possible.

Look at the hardware string for it in device manager and google that.

PCI\VEN_18CA&DEV_0020&SUBSYS_01AE1028&REV_00

Ben

You know what, I've just been doing that for another machine(different device) Cant believe I didn't think to apply that to another computer....Cant see the wood for the trees :)
