Hi

What do you mean your laptop won't pick up the new hard drive?

Are you trying to install Windows on a new Hard drive?

Hi

Is the HD compatible with your laptop?

What happens if you dont go into the BIOS and let laptop continue? Do you get any error messages?

What version did you upgrade to?

Hi

I think there may be a 250GB capacity limit for the max HD which can go into the 4000.

Can you confirm if this is compatible?

Does the 320GB HD still work in the other laptop?

Hi

Seems like 320GB is supported.

Have you tried to run a HD test utility on it?

Who is the manufacturer of the HD?

I think the HD is knacked or damaged.

Hi

You should be able to make it with Nero. Have you got another PC that you can use? Copy the HD test utility to CD and make that bootable.
