no not under warranty

hi all i have a acer travemate 4220 and i can turn it on and run for as long as i like but when i close it down i have to wait half hour before i can restart as when i click power on the lights flash an it wont boot up so i changed fan an heat sinc??? still no good tried new hard drive and new ram still the same ??? so any ideas be great as to me its over heating but when it cools down it starts again

i am sending it back for replacement

no drive found so cant test

in the process now thanks will let you no how i go

what is dos bootable is that a cd i use nero 7

they told me it was but i think your right so i have just asked where i bought 2 send 250gb also havnt got another laptop too try as this hard drive is only 3 months old and it did work up till now its only stopped when took it out and put in other laptop then put it back again and now nothing ???

yes old drive works in both laptops yet 320gb wont

from 3A06 to 3A10 and when it keeps going says no operating system and when bought hard drive told em what i wanted this what i got cheers

when i go into bios there is no hard drive yet when i put the 40gb hard drive in it shows up also the 320gb hdd was working but when i took it out and then put back in it now wont read drive ???

hi i have upgraded bios with other hard drive but the laptop still wont pick up other hard drive got me stumped ???

hi all new here so i have no idea how to upgrade my bios in acer travelmate 4000 laptop have wasted disk after disk trying 2 burn file still no good as i have new hard drive and it wont read the drive so was told too upgrade bios currently pheonix 3a06 montara-gme3360 pq1a28 so i would be very very gratefull if any1 can point in a easy direction on where too download what bios i need and then how to burn file ??? i use nero 7 too burn also sorry in advacne about my typing
