DoctorB Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 As our school transitions to ActivInspire it would be very helpful to have XP automatically open both .flp and .flipchart files in ActiveInspire when the file is double-clicked. Is there an easy way to do this, e.g. a preference in ActiveInspire? If not, can you give more detailed instructions about how this can be done in XP via the registry or appropriate mechanism. Thank you.
clareq Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 It should be possible with a registry fragment - in fact I think I've done so at work - I'll update tomorrow when I can have a look at my setup.
chazzy2501 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Use group policy preferences > Folder Options > Open With. fyi GPP does work with xp on a 2003 domain:)
clareq Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 In case you still need this I use the following: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flipchart] "Progid"="Inspire.Flipchart.1.0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flipchart\OpenWithProgids] "Inspire.Flipchart.1.0"=hex(0): "ACTIVstudioPE.Flipchart.3.5"=hex(0):
