Problem with Google Title

Hi all,

 

I've just been made aware that when people google our school 'Fitzharrys School' that although the first link on google is to our site (fitzharrys.oxon.sch.uk) that the title word instead of being Fitzharrys School is instead the word 'week'.

 

Looking at our site the only time the word week appears on our homepage (and any other page) is on some sub menus but then looking deeper in the source code the word week appears frequently in the calendar that we have in our sidebar.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to get our google title right?

Have you at any point had a sitemap.xml for your site submitted to Google that might have contained erroneous page titles?

Ahh good thought - Im not too sure that a sitemap has ever been submitted. Will get one done and see how google likes it.
