Guest TheLibrarian Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 We already have SWV (Symantec Workspace Virtualization)*, but so far haven't used it much and it's coming up for renewal. App-V we can get if we buy MDOP (which is cheaper than the SWV renewal). We are about to go mixed WXP and W7 clients (not sure if this matters or not). What are your thoughts? I'm personally thinking App-V (with the MDOP bonuses) but there aren't any good arguements to back that up. * Sorry about the z, but most people search for it with a z.
AngryTechnician Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I've not used SWV so can't offer a comparison, but my experience of App-V has generally been good. In terms of your mixed OS deployment, App-V works with both, and most applications will work fine sequenced on one and run on the other. For those that don't, you can target applications based on OS.
