Greetings, i am currently rebuilding some admin stations with win 7. the first 3 went great (even 5 and 7 did); but 4 and 6 didnt (repeatdly)

so from the top;

install windows, serial, join domain reboot

there are several GPOs

install office

install Symantec Endpoint Protection

map drives

set proxy

[these all work]

install SIMS

[sims hates me]

upon reboot it just continues to reboot over and over and over (can hear the noise of it whirling now doing a reboot)

what bugs me is i have just been upstairs and build a admin station on vmplayer and it worked installed sims the lot. its not like i have broke something half way thru as 2 stations built fine whilst otehrs havent

any ideas??? even a tool or something so i can see whats making it reboot????? its 7pm and im still in work, time for my coat and a call at the ale house!

ps arrrrggghh

p.s. SIMS hates everyone.

if i pull the network cable i can get into windows fine and view the event log but there is nothing that says 'im shutting the computer down' its just

service x starting

service y starting

service z starting

servoce x stopping etc

I have found that sometimes SIMS works fine with Win7 but other times it gives me error messages like the date and time format are wrong, which they blatently are'nt. The only way I have been able to get arround it is to install all components seperatly and it works for some reason.

Oh and another one is that it cant find the connect.ini file, so I browse to the same location it said it could not be found and low and behold it finds it and installs SIMS.

I hate SIMS and Win7 together, its just a pain in the backside.
