Hi,

We have just bought some new machines. They come with a System drive ©, and a local disk (E).

Windows is installed on the E drive and all the programs install onto there too.

Is the simple solution to changed the System drive to something else and change the local disk to C or is it not that simple ?

Thanks

Take real care if you try this - "For the most part, this is not recommended" are the first words in that article and they make sense. I've played with this before and ended up with a dead machine.

Can you not just reinstall them - it will be much, much safer!

I seem to manage to end up with a system drive that isn't C every time I rebuild my home PC. I theory it's fine. But there's always something that won't work.

Bin it and start again, trying to get by with the wrong drive letter tends to end up a little less messy then changing it to C.
