Wireless Will Not Work for Some Pupils

Now before you laugh, please read....

 

We currently have 2 students in school that have problems using wireless. We have Dell laptops. These connect to the either HP ProCurve 420 or Netgear ProSafe AP's.

 

We have tried most things! We have created new login accounts for them and logged a laptop in as administrator for them and they both have the same problem.

 

They either can't get logged in. If they do, they have no policy applied. And then failing that the wireless will just drop after 10-15 minutes.

 

We have tried this mainly in a class full of pupils, but we have tried it in isolation. If they us a PC they seem to be fine. We have even connected the laptops to the network with a cable and this works most of the time as well.

 

We are almost putting it down to the pupil giving off electro-magnetic radiation!

 

Firstly, has anyone experienced this issue before? We feel like we are the only ones.

 

And secondly, if you have experienced this, have you found anything to get around this issue, apart from just use PC's?

Check they're not cylons - use a large magnet: if it sticks to their skin, run.
