TechSupp Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 We have just been issued with new DNS ip settings as the LA is taking over supply of Internet from YHGfL. They have very handily come and manually configured the admin PC's (which I usually dont touch anyway) and just said here are your new settings! Having never done anything with DNS on our curriculum server need a bit of confirmation on what I have done so far. On our curriculum server (our DNS server), gone into DNS panel, brought up the properties and selected the forwarders tab and changed the ip's that were there to the new ones, removed the old ones and applied the settings. Do I need to do anything else to make them effective or is that it? and is there anything I need to do to check its applied properly? Started a client and it seems to work, internet etc.
skell Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 If the fowarders are being resolved and clients are able to browse and resolve addresses, then no, you're all set. 1
