Can anyone suggest an tool for synching Google docs with a PC?

I am trying to find a tool to replicate a folder on a users PC with their googler docs. this way they can be confident that whatever they put in the folder will be available, via google docs, when they get home.

 

I have seen syncplicity but I'm not convinced with it!

 

Any suggestions?

Well its looks lile a dropbox alternative with the advantage of being able to pick which existing folders get synced (although I'm not sure where its going to put the sub folder of a networked drive I just added here at work when I install it back at home tonight )

 

Dropbox (And I assume all otehr similar products) work very well as long as clients in the middle of uploading aren't switched off

How does Syncplicity synchronize my documents with Google Docs?

 

It's simple – first, you connect your Syncplicity account with your Google Docs account. We'll ask you for your Google Docs email and password and for the Syncplicity folder you'd like to keep in sync with Google Docs. By default, this folder is My Documents, but you can pick any folder you already synchronize with Syncplicity. From that point onward, the two will always be kept in sync – any document you create or change in Google Docs will immediately appear on your computers and vice versa. The days of losing access to your documents when you're offline and not being able to edit them in a desktop Office application are long gone.

 

So it looks worth giving it a go

I have tried syncplicity but it's not really working as we would like. I'll keep going and report back if I find anything.

I have used Syncplicity, was good but didn;t like the google sync much. Also tried ooo2 but, as you'll see, I don't like paying for things!

Well it seems to upload all the files from my local machine to their own site but not on to my google docs! I can't find any setting to make those docs then move to my google docs.

Yep - gave it a go - didn't sync to Google Docs - emailed support - no answer.

I've found that dropbox is a decent option and guess I'll stick to using it instead.
