karldenton Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Hi, Just had the server crash on me. No one could access shares or connect to the server. Rebooted and works ok now but I would like to see what the problem was. Some errors from event viewer are below. Is it a hard disk space problem. There was 2.5gb free on C before I rebooted Thanks The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty. - Lots of these !! The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur. The shadow copy of volume F: could not be created due to insufficient non-paged memory pool for a bitmap structure.
cromertech Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Try this Event ID 57, event ID 55, and event ID 50 may be logged when you use Windows Cluster on Windows Server 2003 or this A Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) update package is available for Windows Server 2003 or this Your system stops responding, you experience slow file server performance, or delays occur when you work with files that are located on a file server or google for the events (that's how I got these) edit (I do think your hard drive space is an issue as well though)
