quick heads up - over the next couple of weeks Facebook is rolling out a https option for users.

 

Its a simple change, but definitely worth implementing as soon as its available

It's been available as an option for >2 years now, just so badly implemented you don't gain anything from it (truly an example of defective-by-design)... so this is an interesting promise, let's see if they can get it right this time.

I like the idea or replacing capcha with "Name that friend"

Instead of showing you a traditional captcha on Facebook, one of the ways we may help verify your identity is through social authentication. We will show you a few pictures of your friends and ask you to name the person in those photos. Hackers halfway across the world might know your password, but they don't know who your friends are.

 

A good deterrent to those who 'collect' friends that they don't actually know!
