I know they're probably older than many of you out there, but I still have to look after some RM F Series machines. The power buttons are prone to breakage, RM don't stock spares any more.... are there any bodges out there before I skip them all? I'm ok for facias and buttons, but have run out of the pesky little clips!

Any help would be gratefully recieved!

Thanks.

We had this and have had it with the later RM base units too.

If you are talking about the power switches, then we used the cables ties things all cables come with (ie the mice/keyboard ties) the best ones I found for length came from the RM double Y leads. If you need a pic then I can do one tomorrow when I have one in front of me, a PM would help (to remind me)

The tie was clamped and twisted around the metal frame work, a pic really is needed sorry.

Follow this link to Maplin's website for push to make switches. Re-solder the switch wires from the old switch to the new one and job done. No need to hot glue gun the blue plastic buttons as they will only break again!

Are those the blue ones on the slim desktop boxes? If so we use to pull the switches out and round the back as an emergency turn on as the machines WOLed in the mornings and shut down int he evening as per a schedule.
