Flip Ultra IIHD Cameras

I have a primary school who have a few of the above mentioned cameras.

 

They are great quality videos but the issue I am having is when you playback the video through the provided Flipshare software or Quicktime or VLC the video isn't in sync with the audio.

 

I am using XP machine with Flipshare installed from camera, I have also installed the 3ivx codec.

 

I hate to say this but...... If I try the same on a MAC it works fine , but the teachers don't have MAC desktops in classrooms that are connected to smartboards.

 

Any ideas?

Are these XP machines older than the Macs?

 

I've seen issues similar on older machines playing unedited HD video, cant process fast enough.
