jamin100 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Does anyone know if it is possible to do video calling through the BGFL network? I've tried ichat and facetime but Link2ICT are blocking the ports. Has anyone done it before?
PeteW Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Hi Jamin, Skype works over the BGfL network. You can also setup up your own Video Camera within the school to use with other schools. If you want more infomation on this, just log a call with the service desk. Services like iChat and Facetime use none standard ports (not port 80 and 443) so these will be blocked by the BGfL firewall. I know they are looking into Apple products working over the BGfL but the KB will be updated when more info is availble. Pete 1
